Last weekend, my friend Ryan came to visit for our annual photo shoot of our Mini-Danboard figures for Valentine’s Day. Ryan is also a graphic designer and photographer mainly focused on landscapes, lifestyle, documentary and events. He is also a traveler.
Earlier that day, we stayed the whole afternoon at the park nearby.
Last Valentine’s Day, we also made a shoot together. Here’s the link if you like to check it out. We had fun doing this together so we decided to make this Mini-Danbo shoot annually and at the same time, he gets to visit my house at least once a year. He lives far away from me, like 3 hours drive from the city.
Doing the shoot together means we made the idea and made it possible together. So we both use our own DSLRs and edit them on our own. We decided to share 3 photos each.
Anyway, I’ve been really busy with a lot of figures to shoot this week. So without further delay, I am happy to share our own version of fireflies just for this shoot. The lights or “fireflies” in these photos were hard to achieve. Lol. It was a trial error thing. Can you guess what light did we use in this set?
I think these are the only best ones I took, and just to make it different from Ryan’s photos, I made it cinematic look and with darker tones with the help of Adobe Lightroom.
Just grab a hold of my hand,
I will lead you through this wonderland.
Meanwhile, the 3 photos below are my friend’s photos: He did a great job as well.
That’s all for today everyone! I hope you have a happy Valentine’s Day!
See you on my next post! ^_^
So cute! I absolutely love the lightning. I have no clue how you achieved the fire fly effect as I’m still very new to photography and don’t know all the tricks of the trade. But it sort of looks like you used a string of Christmas lights, lol.
Haha you got it correct! 😀
Thanks for checkin out this post, I’m glad you likled too! Only christmas lights can achieve such lighting. 😉
Awww how sweet… =3 I recently got a mini danboard as a birthday gift! Hope I can also shoot him asap. 😀
Woah congrats on getting Mini-danboard! Sulit yan, a great travel buddy too :3
Thanks haha! I like the eyes with the lights. 😀
I really love these photos! The lighting is perfect, makes for such a peaceful mood.
Thanks. It was actually inspired by the firefly scene of Kaori and Kenshin in Samurai X
We tried if we can pull it off. I made a few modifications with the led lights it self so it wouldn’t be too bright when lit.
Wow! this is so amazing! I really enjoyed looking at your pictures! I visit your blog for almost every single day ! You are the best!!
Wow thank you! ^_^
I’ll be taking new photos tomorrow. So hopefully I have something to share before the end of the week. 😀
