Here’s another one of Kaiyodo’s masterpieces which is Revoltech Yamaguchi No. 132 Vic Viper from “Anubis Zone of Enders” (Figure courtesy of Revoltech Philippines).
Since I know nothing much about Vic Viper, I checked the video game play in You Tube to give me an idea for my toy photography.
Vic Viper is an LEV type or manned mechanical suit that can be transformed to robotic mecha from its high speed fighter mode.
When I opened the box, aside from the main model, Vic Viper comes with arm effects, optional hand parts, waist part for its high speed mode, display stand and Revoltech container. Vic Viper is approximately 135mm tall with lots of articulation points.
This is my first attempt of photographing a mecha, so it’s quite a challenge. I just played with the lighting and used some things I have at home for back drop.
Vic Viper is a space age war machine and using computer/CPU case as background will help me achieve a futuristic feel to it.
There’s a waist part included to transform Vic Viper to this state.
If you are a big fan of Zone of Enders like my brother does, you have to get a hold of this. The figure is pretty light and easy to handle. With its great number of articulation, you can do any of your favorite poses for Vic Viper.
I didn’t use its display stand for photography purpose. I used transparent thread or for some they call it Nylon thread/string to hung Vic Viper up that makes it look like flying and used the magic of Adobe CS5 a bit.

I remember Zone of Enders to be one anime I always planned to watch.
The mech looks cool, the design is rather unique with all the pointy shapes.

IMO, he’s too… silvery hahahaha! Maybe some detail lining would improve his overall looks 😛
Haha it’s actually in my plan to put detail lining, I’m gonna go ask my brother for help. I’m sure if this is yours, you can do a lot with Vic Viper plus you can make him look cooler with detail lining or re-painting too. ^_^
