One of my favorite things to do in Nendoroid photography is decorating their little room. Today, I will teach you how to decorate their room with little pictures hanging on the wall. You can probably find these materials in your house or stock room or you can also buy some of the products in supermarket and book stores.
I started with searching cute images in google, resize them scaled to my figure and printed them on a paper (I used photopaper). I carefully cut each one to create small pieces of pictures.

Next, I found this used sushi mat (made of bamboo) in our stock room and instead of throwing this away, I decided to make use of this for my props making. I find different kinds of this mat in supermarket, so if you can’t find them at home, you can spend a little bucks for this. The key is to be resourceful. 😉
Get one then cut them in small sections.
Next, cut the middle part like the picture below. BE CAREFUL in doing this, you might cut yourself! So cut them in a way you will feel safe and not hurt yourself. The material of this mat is soft, so i didn’t use to much force just to cut that section.
Get your printed piece and insert it in the sliced portion of the stick.
Get a sewing thread (pick a color of your choice) and then insert it in each pictures. You can also glue the printed paper and thread to make it sturdy.
Ta-da! See how it looks so cute! 😀
I stick the pictures on the corkboard I have at home. The size depends on the size and length of the pictures. Design it with colorful decorations to make it lively. You can visit your local craft store and see if there is some cool things that you can use to decorate your Nendoroid’s little room. I used double adhesive tape in placing the decor on the wall.
My tip:
Be resourceful. Look for things at home that your mom would probably not use anymore and ask if you can recycle it a bit and use it for building decorations for your Nendoroid room.
Be creative. Imagination is limitless. You can be creative and play with colors and materials to create a wonderful artwork.
That’s all for today! I hope I gave you a little idea on how to decorate your Nendoroid bedroom wall.
The way it´s written down it seems easy.. Maybe even I can do this.. 😀
Great tips! I do kind of want to build a room for my Nendos so this should come in handy. I want to do this for my actual apartment too 😀
I have this in my room too :3
Great guide! Will use this for my toy photography in the future. Do you plan to do a guide on lighting? I love the way your room looks with your lighting.
Awesome. Yes, soon! I will have it either in my blog or video tutorial. 😀
