Cu-poche Photography: Hanami

It’s almost springtime to some of you out there while we are having summer where I live, but today I am sharing you photos of my Cu-poche figures enjoying Hanami.

Hanami is a Japanese traditional custom of flower viewing, enjoying cherry blossoms or plum blossoms. Sakura starts to bloom in the end of March until May. In modern day, people is having outdoor party beneath the sakura tree during day or night.

We do not have Sakura tree, being in a tropical country, we do not experience this kind of event. However, we have Flower festival in northern part that takes place every February, the coldest time of the month in the Philippines.

Two weeks ago I started making miniature tree for this theme. We have few flowers in the garden but I want Sakura-looking tree scaled for my Cu-poche to fully enjoy Hanami. So I completed my materials and start working on it. By the way, I will be providing the tutorial soon. Hopefully, I’ll have it done before I go on vacation on April.

These are random photos of my Cu-poche figures featuring Puella Magi Madoka Magica girls, Kirino Kousaka of Oreimo, Tsukiko of Hentai Prince and the Stony Cat, The iDOLM@STER Haruka and Miki and Dark Magician Girl of Yugi-oh! Enjoy!

It would be great to experience flower viewing with friends, loved ones or family. Whenever I do a shoot, I always imagine myself in their tiny world. I put myself in the situation, my feelings have been a great part in my ideas in Figure photography.

I think if you look for a beauty even in the simplest form, you will find it. Best things in life are free, so it is important to appreciate what is around you.

Have a pleasant day to you all! See you on my next post!

Great job creating the sakura trees! They look so real and are the perfect scale 🙂 . Really love the shot of Tsukiko between the two trees, the falling petals makes for a really pretty photo.
