Nendoroid Snow Miku Strawberry in a Ryokan

IMG_5206-2

This second set is Snow Miku on vacation and staying in a Nendoroid diorama – a Ryokan which I made. This features Nendoroid Snow Miku 2013 Strawberry version by Good Smile Company and a special guest, Nendoroid Ohana Matsumae from the anime “Hanasaku Iroha.”

Ryokan is a traditional Japanese inn and typically features tatami-matted rooms and sliding shoji doors.
I like traditional Japanese inn and would love to go experience onsen/ryokan someday. The shoji are rather intricate this time and took me a while to finish everything. Also, special thanks to my friend, Junntan who gave me tatami mats as a gift. I am happy that I was able to use it now.

So sorry that I have to take this post down last night because of website issue. On the positive side, I made additional photos and fixed some glitches of  the photos uploaded on Flickr.

On Miku’s vacation, she gets to meet Hanasaku Iroha main protagonist, Ohana.

Welcome to Kissuisō!

Fun Facts:

Almost everything in this Ryokan set is hand-made (Shoji, windows and other furnitures). I bought the chairs from a Japanese local store. I made the cushion, I sew it manually (Unfortunately, I’m not talented at sewing hehe). The big table is also hand-made. The small table is from Sylvannian Families. Tatami mat is a gift from my friend which he bought it in Japan. Flower decoration is artificial which you can buy from supermarket or craft stores.Tiny decorations like food, vase etc are miniature collectibles manufactured by Re-ment and Orcara.

What about the doll house, from the same manufacture with miniatures?

Hi, I built this diorama. This is a combination of hand-made and off the shelf items. (o⌒.⌒o)

  2. Sheng, you are the master of diorama building. You always go that extra mile, like making cushions for the chairs. Who else would do that?

Oh, the last 5 pics come up garbled on my PC, no matter how many times I refresh. Anybody else has that?

Haha. Thanks Michael. I think I just want my background to be as detailed as possible and I make sure to do my best in every thing I do. ^_^

It works fine on my end and my brother’s computer. Have you tried to clean cache? That’s been my problem last night that’s why I re-published this post today, I didn’t know if it’s only in my computer too :\

You did an awesome job with recreating every litttle detail in the room and the room itself.
The caramel color finish is also nice.

This Miku is damn sweet I love her closed eye expression ^^.
At first I thought Ohana would carrry a machine gun, sorry >_<
