My toy photography buddy, Mitch came by and asked me to join him for a photo shoot. It’s been a while since we’ve done this together so I grabbed my camera and took a couple of figures with me the other day.
It’s a cold early Thursday while the sun is smiling at us as we arrived at the park. The great part was I get to spend my time with a group of 10-year old boys who got curious on what we were doing. They were playing at the park when they saw us taking photos of our figures. They asked me a lot of questions, they shared their own stories, their crushes and watched me photograph my figures. In the end, I didn’t get a nice shot because they were talking to me most of the time but I didn’t mind. I somehow enjoyed spending hours with them. They left by 12 noon because they still have school.
The wind blew so strong, that I can barely stand my figures up and I almost give up. Mitch mostly did the shoot while I enjoy the blue skies as I lay on the ground and listened to the wind. Β It’s a beautiful day to enjoy the scenery and embrace the cool breeze.
There’s no lake in the park, I saw a fishpond somewhere and I just used it for background in some of my photos.
Today’s set of photos are more on back of figures, an idea I got from G+ Figure Photography community, with a dramatic twist. Of course, I also include photos that you can see their adorable face. Mayoi and Kirino are mine while the one playing the piano is Mitch’s Nendoroid Wakana Sakai.
I think, these are the ones that turned out okay.
“I am a dreamer, I am a wandering soul…”
I’m not familiar with the character but I love the piano.
After the shoot, we decided to eat Ramen with little Miku.
Burp!
That’s all for today! Next post would be either Cu-Poche Mami Tomoe or Kotobukiya Demon Fox figure, kindly watch out for it.
Yesterday, I also got a wonderful news. I can’t announce it yet, but you’ll know it for sure this coming weeks.
Thank you for checking out! See ya!
You have a knack for finding just the right places to shoot your figures! Hachikuji is a great figma too (Scher recently did a set with her on her blog). Looks like you had a nice day, looking forward to the next set!!
We’re lucky to have 2 parks nearby. It’s refreshing to go outside and enjoy the scenery. It’s my first time to take photos of Mayoi, she’s really cute. Though, I forgot to bring her stand so I really had a hard time standing her up. Lol. Saw Scher’s post, really great set of Mayoi!
Thanks Tian!
Heyy thanks Tian and Sheng! I’m happy to see your Mayoi out of her box! π Toy photography outdoors is such a great idea! Can you let me join sometime soon? π
looks like a nice location with the fishpond nearby.
I really like how Mayoi is balancing on the wood, however you have mastered it ^^
Yes, it’s a nice place for picnic as well. I want to go back there soon, the weather is really good.
Reblogged this on Locating Frankenstein's Brain.
When it comes to photography, there’s nothing like a nice day outside. Natural sunlight is the best ^^
Sheng, you should totally watch Tari Tari, I’m sure you’ll love it.
Damn great photos! π Sunlight’s the best! π
