Miku Hatsune Racing 2011 Version

This is my first ever Racing Miku scale figure.  She’s one of the figures piled up on my shelf for months now, and I think it is time to unbox her.

This is Good Smile Company Racing’s 2011 version. I really like this figure a lot,  she looks pretty, mature and sexy.  I am not really a huge Miku Hatsune fan, but every time she comes out with a nice figure with beautiful hair, pose and face I make sure to get her.

Here’s her sexy back. >_<

Miku looks like dancing in this picture.

I also heard rumors about this Racing Miku quality issues but I’m not really sure about that.

In this silhouette photo, I should’ve put the spotlight in the middle to accentuate her sexy figure. I will re-shoot once I get a new bulb.

I like to experiment with figure photography.  I find Tentacle Armada and Happy Soda as my inspiration when it comes to scale figure photos. I need to shoot more indoor style photography, familiarize myself with the camera, learn Adobe PS and Adobe Lightroom tools.

**Edit:

The backdrop I used in this set of photos is just a piece of metal from the door which I found in the stock room. I don’t know what it’s called, but I think this may be available in hardware stores.

You never know what you can find in your garage, stock room or backyard. I mostly use what I have at home in my photo shoots (well aside from hand made sets and props I guess).

I love these photographs! When I saw the last one I just thought if she could have one of those standing microphones it would look truly amazing. The spotlight makes her so beautiful!

I think that would be perfect. Let’s see what I can come up with once I re-shoot her. 😉

Cool pics! What did you use for the backdrop? Gives a really nice sort of industrial/mechanical feel to the pictures.

It’s a piece of metal from the door which I found in the stock room. It’s a little heavy though. I don’t know what it’s called, but I think it may be available in hardware stores.

You have some pretty interesting doors in your stock room 😀 I like that it sort of emphasizes the racing aspect of the figure. It looks like part of a garage or workshop on a racetrack, and fits the race queen look rather well. And that hair just looks beautiful with the backlighting.

Great photos! I like her facial expression and her hair dynamics, and she’s pretty shiny! Though something is not right with her complexion? XD Maybe too pale for my liking, but nevertheless, she’s a great figure! 😀
