I decided to post new photos early because I’ll be gone for a week for another summer getaway trip.
Golden Week starts in Japan on April 29 until May 5, these dates are the most popular time to travel. During this time of the year, many Japanese take paid off for leisure trips and many company are closed to give their employees time off. While there are also some activities in celebration of the National Holidays.
I decided to start a Koinobori-themed photo set featuring Nendoroid Madoka Kaname: Maiko Ver by Good Smile Company. I also made a bridge and paper craft carp streamers for the Golden Week. This is the first half of the set, I’ll be taking more photos when I get back before the Golden Week ends. I haven’t packed my things and I have to leave tomorrow morning!
Nendoroid Madoka Kaname Maiko Ver was available in Japan expo July last year, but mine arrived before Christmas. Madoka has been patiently waiting for me to unbox her. Finally, the day has come.
When I saw her in Kahotan’s Blog, I decided right away that I’m going to get her. I love Madoka’s Kimono design and color. Everything about this Nendoroid is filled with cuteness and awesome accessories too!
Madoka and Sawako are such a good pair for the Golden Week.

Good work! I think Madoka’s design works best as a Nendoroid because of her head proportions.
And Golden Week always makes me think of Persona 4 for some reason…
