Cu-Poche iDOLM@STER Miki Hoshii by Kotobukiya

Kotobukiya released another Cu-poche from The iDOLM@STER video games and anime series and this time it’s Miki Hoshii. She’s pretty popular among the iDOLM@STER girls, she seems to be the second main character next to Haruka Amami.

Miki Hoshii has a laid-back attitude toward her tasks, mainly because she rarely work hard for anything. She is beautiful, intelligent and talented. She believes that she can get to the top as an idol easily.

Today’s post will be dedicated to all Miki Hoshii and iDOLM@STER fans. I know you guys have been waiting for this.

These photos are first published on Kotobukiya page, you can check it out here.

Cu-Poche Miki Hoshii arrived two weeks ago. Thanks to Kotobukiya for another cute posable figure to add in my collection.

She is sculpted by Kei Tanaka and it’s approximately 115mm (non-scale) tall with multiple articulations.
Cu-Poche Miki Hoshii comes with 3 face plates (nikkori smile, grumpy face, and smile), Mami & Ami puppet, microphone and microphone stand, onigiri, extra hands set, base and articulated arm stand set and Cu-poche zip lock plastic bag.

The first part of this photo series will be the Dressing Room and Live stage set.

Dressing Room/ Back stage Set

Most of the accessories are hand-made, from the interior decoration to the tiny clothes hanger. I borrowed the piano from Sylvannian Families playset and Re-ment for food and such.  By the way, those dresses are borrowed from all my tiny dolls too.

I decided to come up with the dressing room set because I tried to visualize them before a concert, playing and doing a little rehearsal before the show starts. Miki Hoshii loves to wear costumes that would make her look really cute. So I picked the cutest clothes I can find from my doll collection.

IMG_3995-2One of the best thing I like about Cu-Poche is their ability to stand even without the support. Though, I admit in many scenes here, I used a thin wire for full support so I can pose her legs like an idol. IMG_4003-2Haha. Miki Hoshii getting sleepy? I love how she can sit like this. IMG_4015-2

Live Stage Set

The stage here is a bit rushed as I am running out of time as well. It turned out entirely different in what I pictured in my head. She has to have a picture singing her heart out with Haruka Amami.

The two idols look adorable singing together. I think it’s gonna be fun if Kotobukiya will release more Cu-Poche of the 765Pro members.

Over all, Cu-poche Miki Hoshii has this charming appeal, maybe because of her popular character in the series. Kotobukiya was able to show her confident and Miki-ish personality in this figure. She doesn’t look awkward in that costume given that she’s about 4 inches tall.

The costume’s not as intricate as Madoka’s dress but it’s well painted. It brings out the sexiness and cuteness combined, something not weird-looking for a chibified form.

I didn’t have any problems posing her, the articulation on her legs is a bit tight which I think is okay so that it would be able to stand steadily. I only wish that it has more accessories, though I find those Ami and Mami puppets really cute.

That’s it for today. I’ll be posting Miki’s Birthday photos separately. Kindly watch out for it!

Thanks for checking and hope to see you tomorrow! ☆ミ(o*・ω・)

*faint* … your creation of a backstage scene is simply wonderful, totally fitting ^^
Miki’s sleepy face is lovely as well, the chibified dress on her looks funny, but very cool.

The concert pillars, I was always looking for these things, where can I get them or how can I make them?
    I need this! XD

The concert pillars was diy (do it yourself). It was made out of sticks, sushi mats to be exact. I’ll show you a whole picture of the pillars next time. ^_^
