Vocaloid Miku Hatsune: Love is War DX

Today’s figure post is manufactured by Good Smile Company, and the most popular vocaloid, Miku Hatsune Love is War ver DX.

The DX version has this huge speakers with her stand and as of now, I haven’t figured out where to put her. She remained inside her box for the time being.  It’s a shame that I haven’t displayed her out yet, well honestly all my figures are still inside their boxes. I only take them out when I photograph them. I’m still undecided how and where to put a glass display cabinet when I purchase one.

I made this photoshoot last month to be submitted in Good Smile Company’s figure photo contest. I submitted one  from this set but not really my favorite among my entries.

On this photo, I tried playing with Tones at Lightroom. I think it’s nice how Editing softwares can make such great changes in your picture. Sometimes, I try to avoid messing around much with it because I might over do it too.

Very impressive figure indeed. This was always one of my favorite Miku designs. The cool tones in your last photo complement Miku very well.

Thanks Tian. At first, I was worried that I may have overdone it. I’ll surely gonna watch more tutorials when I have free time. ^_^

Great photos, the lighting is nicely done and compliments the figure nicely. She certainly is a big figure, but definitely a beautiful one. It’s probably hard to find a place to display her, I know wouldn’t have room for something that big!

The cool tones really worked well with the last picture. Editing really adds another level of fun to toy photography me thinks! Sometimes i really like to take it to the wild side and over edit and see where it takes me 😛 Something similar to this article where he took his family photos and gave it a really wicked twist http://www.wearejuxt.com/2013/07/16/the-purge/

Thanks buddy, glad you liked the edit. ^_^
I visited the page and wow, that is really wicked. They seem sketches from an Exorcist movie.

I like this different approach of the Miku character, some kind of aggressive. The style is so cool and artistic, it is also completed with a diorama.
Quite bold of you to order the DX version, with a larger collection displaying her properly seems really difficult.

Picture 3 and especially 4 turned out really nice, the face is so pretty in it. never really noticed it, so now I have a better opinion about her ^^

I first saw her when it was showcased in wonfest years ago, and I said to myself I have to get this figure someday and so I did. Then I realized, for her to be displayed I have to look for a customized glass display cab for her. Haha
It is so far one of the best scale figures of Miku that I have.
I’m happy you liked those photos. ^^

Dying to get her! But she’s a large figure, right? My room is cramped! >,< Anyway, nice pictures Sheng as always. 🙂
