Today I will show you how awesome this action figure of Hunter Swordsman from “Monster Hunter” by Revoltech Yamaguchi. Thank you Revoltech Philippines for this figure.
This is my first Revoltech Yamaguchi and I am totally impressed of its multiple articulation that enables the figure to pose whatever way I want. They also did a great job on sculpt and paint job.
When I was told that I’ll be getting Jinouga hunter, I didn’t have a slightest idea of the figure. I did a little research about the character and the game “Monster Hunter”. I researched of the environment and watched Monster Hunter game play in You Tube so I can think of an idea for toy photography.
I did a couple of outdoor shoots but it has been raining for days so I decided to make a diorama instead and play with lights.
So here you go, guys!
I guess this is what happens when you think too much and spaced out. Oh boy, Hunter-san’s BBQ is on fire! Lol.
For those who are wondering if this was a real fire, yes I made a tiny, tiny bonfire. xD
I also used my brother’s vape (e-cigarette) for the smoke effect on the 6th photo. I made several shots to achieve that shot.
That’s all everyone, hope to see you all on my next post.
awesome photos! The hunter looks pretty badass.
btw the thing he cooked in last pic, what is that? looks like chicken XDD
It’s a piece of pork BBQ from last night’s dinner. Lol.
Thanks Julious! 😀
nice pics, I ordered mine last Friday straight from Japan. It’ll arrive this week, can’t wait.
You will truly enjoy this figure. Very. very nice.
Thanks for dropping by! ^_^
Cooooooool!!!! How is the smoke done? 😀
Vape is great for smoke effects 😀
An e-cigarette for photos… that’s a good idea! I’ve tried incense but that was too difficult to control when shooting figures. I think you’re off to a good start with your Revoltech pictures!
Haha yes, I’ve used that before for my brother’s vape photos and wondered maybe I can use it for figures too. I think it’s pretty great use for people who doesn’t know much photo ediiting in PS.. ugh like me. XD
Thanks Tian for dropping by! Hope you have a great day!
I think they made the right choice when they contacted you to do Revoltech photography. Especially considering you have no experience with Revo’s and how… temperamental they can be, these are great pics.
Thanks Mikeh!
This guy is a little scary, but yeah the details are great ^^
He looks pretty awesome in pic 8 and 9, great setting as well.
lol you even grilled a pork, I hope it was cooked in the end.
Yeah it’s far from my collection, my brothers loved it though haha. I think they’ll be sending Yotsuba/Danboard soon. I just so hope so. >_<
The pork, uhm-yes. Overcooked. Lol!
never thought you would be buying serious manly gig like this… neverthless, these shots are amazing as always~
Thanks! this figure was actually sponsored by Revoltech ^_^
