Our house is getting painted and everything is a mess right now. I have new ideas and new props for next toy photography project but I couldn’t get the best time and place to start. I tried to shoot outdoor but failed due to excessive heat this summer.
I feel bad with my figures exposed to sunlight. So I need to reschedule and plan a different time of day. Unfortunately, late afternoon is the best time but that’s the busiest time for me in our shop. I decided to wait til the house painting gets done and everything gets organized before I start to photograph figures again.
But one summer night, me and my brothers were playing with our flashlights. We were so bored because there was a power outage in the city. I took Saber Lion and Bootleg Ryuk out.
I just wanted a picture of Saber Lion with that high and almighty-angry face and knows nothing that he was being followed by Ryuk. Haha. You might be wondering why I have a bootleg nendoroid, it was my mistake as a noob collector couple of years ago. I bought it in one of the conventions I went to which I thought was the real deal.
Last Saturday, I went to Manila and checked out Ozinefest, an anime convention, to pick up new figures and accessories from local sellers. My Japanese Hobby provided an item pick up meeting near the event center so it was really convenient.
I bought my ticket for Ozinefest which I am hesitant at first but I have to meet another seller inside – and that was a bad idea. The event got too many people inside and I barely see what’s happening. It’s hard to move around with my bags with me (Err, I’m not really tall you know). We should have met outside the venue because there’s no network coverage inside the hall. After an hour, we finally reached each other’s mobile. Whew!
I told him to meet outside because I don’t want to go back there anymore. We finally met and got my order. He is an awesome miniature seller and I didn’t regret going through all this but I learned my lesson.
Here’s a picture of my new loot for this April.
Thanks Likiriki Store and My Japanese Hobby. 🙂
and here’s random photos when my best friends and I hang out in Bonifacio High Street, Global City last Sunday.
Nice photos! 🙂 I attended the Ozine Fest and I felt that I just wasted 100 Php XD It’s all the same, I got really bored. Maybe I should try to cosplay instead? hahahaha! XD
That’s exactly how I feel. I wasted 100 and it’s too damn hot inside, it was really suffocating.
I think cosplay is a good idea. Hahaha 😀
I wanted to cosplay something authentic, well it’s ironic because what I want is to wear an authentic samurai armor (which is not related to anime I think, that’s why it’s ironic). Anyway, I thought I could only wear an authentic samurai armor in a cosplay event, otherwise people will wonder what I’m doing.
Too bad though upon researching for authentic samurai armor to buy, it’s too damn expensive, cheapest was around 2k+ USD. I found a local one but it costs 250k PHP!!! wahaha! so much for my samurai armor cosplay. XD
Samura armor looks heavy! And yeah I heard it’s also expensive.
I think you can go to a cosplay event in any costume you want. I know someone who just made his costume up and likes to dress up. 😀
Yeah, I’m not that tall myself and crowds can get really bothersome ^^ Also: I want that Mugi!
It’ll take a while to unbox her though, I still have to get the broken neck joint stuck in Ritsu’s body. 😦
Hahah really random thoughts and shots. And I can understand going to a bad con..I just shrug it off and think of better days ahead? And I’m not that tall too =D
